AUREO and AUREO JR emanate from the dematerialization of the pen that reaches out in a digital future. Only the nib survives and, with witty imagination, becomes a nib-bird, a new species that lives in ‘Officina della Scrittura’, as the Aurora Penne Museum and seat are called. Through the poetry of flight, the nib-bird expresses the universal concept of freedom because free is the mind of the men who using a pen assert and sign the importance and the strength of their ideas”. Nowadays, when writing has found its natural evolution in technology, using a pen takes up an almost spiritual meaning. Possessing a pen becomes an expression of one’s self and the nib, the ultimate link between the mind and the sheet of paper, becomes an extension of the self.
