GIGANT, Symbol of Energy and Life
In Italy shaken by covid-19, the values of sport in harmony with the beauty of Nature become strength to build the future every day.
GIGANT, sculpture by Daniele Basso created on the 30th Anniversary of the Alta Badia Ski World Cup race, installed in Piz La Ila in the frame of the Dolomites (UNESCO Heritage), symbol of this territory in the world, was illuminated on 25th April 2020 with the Italian tricolor and the colors of the Ladin flag representing the population of this valley.

With this initiative, we wanted to give a positive signal of hope and unity, a metaphorical embrace to people in difficulty. Waiting to hold hands and embrace each other again. The initiative was promoted and implemented by Movimënt Alta Badia in collaboration with the FIS Ski World Cup Alta Badia Organizing Committee.
